Aw... wouldn't it be great if I win?
One thing I really really wanted this year and was able to get was a Critique Partner. So I'm a happy camper.

Books, lollipops, and chocolate--how can I resist? :) Thank you!

This year, I lost 25 pounds and completed a heavy revision on a middle-grade novel. I found out this morning I'll need to revise again--I received notes from an agent who is willing to look at a revision--and I look at that as a gift: A free critique, and ideas on making it stronger! Wow! I also made serious headway on a YA novel that I'm hoping to finish in January. So, no agent yet, but great year. :)

I am tweeting now at twitter.com/jeniw, and I've written a comment, so I have two entries. My email is jeni at jenibell.com. Thank you!

Congrats & good luck!

Okay, it took me most of the day to get this done, but I did it! Why did it take me most of the day to put in a few simple links? Well, I wanted to do a blog post too and once I started the post, I realized I needed to put some pictures into it. I couldn't put the pictured into it until I installed the camera software on my new computer and I couldn't do that until I found the disk, and in order to find the disk, I had to do some cleaning. Whew!

So, on to the contest before I have to dash out the door and get the kids from school.

One thing I'm proud of in 2011 is that I signed with agent, Jennifer DeChiara, in November! It was a long, hard, windy, bumpy, terrifying, fun, crazy, messed up road, but I finally reached that end (though there's still more road to be traveled). =)

Links to the places I shared the love:

WOW! Thanks & congrats on the agent!!!
Dec. 19th, 2011 06:19 pm (UTC)
Thank you!! I'm pretty happy about the agent for some reason. ;-)

Crossing my fingers and knocking on wood and hoping I win cause I REALLY want those books (I already have Luminous, but it isn't signed)--oh, and the other goodies are awesome too. =)

Since I won the last super awesome contest you hosted, I feel like it's not right to enter again. But this post was fun so I figured I would reply and tweet it to help get the word out for you! :D
This totally needs more entries, it's a fantastic giveaway!

I won a poetry contest this year, which was absolutely amazing. I've never entered anything before, and I don't even write poetry, but I'm really glad that I entered it. I got to meet a ton of other young authors too so it was a great experience. I will definitely be entering again next year!
Dec. 20th, 2011 12:14 pm (UTC)
HAHA! Thanks for spreading the word and I'm thrilled you were happy with your last contest winnings And congrats on the poetry win & yeah, this community of authors is simple the BEST!

Thank you!!

Hi Dawn!

I managed to accomplish one thing, and ALMOST accomplish something else.

I started taking karate this year, and despite breaking a toe earlier in the year, I managed to earn my orange belt so far.

Also, I ALMOST finished my book this year. I would've done so if I hadn't been plagued with computer problems that trashed a lot of my files. But I'm CLOSE, and once it's done, I'm sending it out to an agent I met at the last NESCBWI conference.

BTW, I'll be RT'ing on Twitter for ya!

Re: Accomplishments
These are FANTASTIC! Congratulations & WOO HOO for having someone to send it to! (RAH for NESCBWI!)

I bow to you, Orange Belt! Good luck & all the best!
